Pawsitively Tuesday – Witch is true friendship?

True friendship is seen through the heart

not the eyes

 Zazzle.com/catnipblog

HELP!!!  Peggy & I need a vacation – preferably a world cruise.

All our Halloween products are for sale on Zazzle and we get 5% commission.  At that rate, we figure instead of cruising around the world we’ll have to settle on cruising around the block.  But we are so excited about how our drawings look on REAL stuff we want you to take a look.  (There’s no pressure to buy since we won’t be looking over your shoulder . . . )

Tell a friend too . . . our cars need gasoline to cruise.

Pawsitively Tuesday – Twirl, whirl & swirl

Dance when everyone’s watching

Twirl, whirl and swirl

whether you’re a boy or a girl

Sing when everyone’s listening

Warble, howl and trill

Whoever you are where ever you go

Let everyone know

being alive is a thrill

Pawsitively Tuesday – The Art of Life

“Life is the art of drawing without an eraser.”

Some actual “eraserless” life drawings which reminded us of this quote:  Curious to the Max, Sneek a Peek into my Sketchy Life

Pawsitvely Tuesday

What the World Needs Now

The earth, caught in a ray of sun-light,  taken from Voyager as it passes from our solar system into deep space.

A hug, an embrace

as we hurtle through space

 on this tiny blue dot

The whole human race

Thanks Lyn!!!!

Pawsitively Tuesday-meaning and purpose

“The purpose of life is to discover your gift.
The work of life is to develop it.
The meaning of life is to give your gift away.”

Pawsitively Tuesday – Think about it.

Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny.”

Positively Tuesday – Regrets for growing old?

My dad traveled the world: Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan. and Tahiti where he found his 3rd wife.   Hawaii was one place he returned to often and where he lived  the last few years of his life.  He died at 93, blessed to live a long life and see the world.

Dad loved wine, so maybe its reputation for adding years to ones life is deserved.

My Father’s 93rd birthday

I’ll raise a glass of wine (and have a bit of chocolate) to my dad for inheriting his love of travel and, hopefully, long-lived genes.

Pawsitively Tuesday – All God’s Creatures

If cats and pups can cozy up

Why oh why can’t we

lie down with our “enemy”?

Pawsitively Tuesday – turning to exercise

Twist and shout

Pound the pillows

you’ll lose the kilos

Wake up thinner

Pawsitively OMAR

“Omar was the same size as all the other kittens in his litter when he was taken home by his owner Stephy Hirst in 2013.”

“But now the 120cm (3 ft 11 in), 14kg (31 lb) Maine Coon from Melbourne, Australia, could be the world’s longest domestic cat.”

“Omar has also displayed a talent for opening doors, kitchen cupboards, shower screens and wardrobes.”

“Omar typically rises at 5:00 am, eats a couple of scoops of dry cat food for breakfast, lounges around the house, plays in the backyard, naps on the trampoline and eats raw kangaroo meat for dinner.”

Ms Hirst started a social media account for Omar and one of her photos was shared on the Cats of Instagram account more than 270,000 times.

Pawsitively Tuesday – Buried Alive

When under ground

and no one’s around

it’s very dark before the dawn

or perhaps it’s dawn before the dark?

 It’s sometimes hard to tell

So make sure you’re planted

at just the right depth

and not in some deep well

Pawsitively Tuesday – Love Blooms

For this I pray

you’ll give love away

Like a beautiful rose

 love blooms and grows

Inhale the fragrance airborne

But first . . . strip off the thorn

Pawsitivley Tuesday – Opportunity Missed

The Fate of young ladies who “demurred”

with Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos or Mark Zuckerberg

There once was a Miss

who declined a kiss

fearing the poor lad

would make her look bad

if the news leaked

about her and this geek.

There’s no mystery

The rest is history

 This fearful honey

is out of the money

Pawsitively Tuesday – Throw it Around

Throw kindness around like confetti

Sprinkle it slow, sprinkle it steady

Let it fall from the air

stick in the hair

get caught on the lips

sit on by hips

Throw kindness around without care

Show there’s more than enough to spare

Pawsitively Tuesday – Succeed OR Fail

In my opinion, one of the most “damaging” things we can tell our children, or ourselves for that matter, is that if we set our mind to it and have the perseverance we can do anything, accomplish anything, be anything.  WRONG.

No matter how much I may want to be a nuclear physicist my brain simply will not grasp the finer, much less coarser, points of physics or math.  No matter how much I might want to be a sumo wrestler, my body, dexterity and athletic ability forbids it.

So if I were going to talk to The Cat in the Hat I would tell him to change what he preaches to:

You have brains in your head

You have feet in your shoes

Try things, succeed OR fail,

You’ve got nothing to lose.

Pawsitively Tuesday – Freddie’s Forewarning

 You can’t be vain

dancing in the rain

for it’s a sure bet

your paws’ll get wet

your fur will matt

and you’ll looked like

a drowned cat

Pawsitively Tuesday – riding feelings

Feelings come and go like waves of the ocean

Choose which ones to ride to shore

If you wipe out

just get back on board

and surf some more.
