If you could change any one thing about yourself instantly, what would you change?

When I thought about the question many things came to mind: Better focus & concentration, more physical energy were at the top of the list.  I just not sure what is actually under my control to make those changes.

Here are what others answered in this SoulPancake video:

What would you change about yourself?

  1. I want to have better health. I’m not sure if staff at West Anaheim had mentioned to you ——I was diagnosed with endometrial (uterus) cancer Jan 2012. Since then had 3 recurrences. Had a total hysterectomy, 31 radiations, 6 rounds of chemotherapy, hormone therapy. I’m a survivor, still alive and kicking. As a result of the strong chemo I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and fingers. Feet are numb, burn, painful. I have poor balance, Other than my health problem, I like my appearance, my personality. I have many great characteristics. 👍

    • Linda,
I did not know-wow- you certainly have been through a lot! I am sorry you have had to go through all that! Very glad you are alive and kicking and pretty happy with who you are-I very much agree that you have a lot of great characteristics, too!! All I can say is keep trying to get better. I have one suggestion, that I also made made to another person from West Anaheim who has lingering problems after a surgery (movement and neuropathy). Read “The Brain That Changes Itself” by Norman Doidge (it is on Catnip’s list of books). It discusses ways to retrain the brain to help with movement and pain. Oh, and read Maui’s story here on Catnip. Maui regained the use of his legs, when the vet said he wouldn’t. He is an inspiration, at least for me!!
Whatever you do, I hope you will feel better, have less pain and better balance. I am sending you lots of hugs because your body has been through so much!

  2. Thank you Peggy for your encouragement. I love your blog. It is Informative and entertaining. Some time ago you asked if I still play the ukulele. Not anymore because my fingers hurt due to neuropathy. 🙁
